Rivers & Seas Guide

Colours bring order to your map.

Colour Tracks and markers so you can recognise related journeys and places at a glance. Tags also make holidays, cruising areas, and important places easy to find again.

One glance is enough: colours show what belongs together on your map.

The quickest way to change a colour

Open the saved Track or bookmark. Tap the circle with three dots at the upper right, then choose Tags.

Select an existing tag or tap New Tag. Use the colour circle beside it to choose the colour, then confirm with the tick.

The Track now appears as a coloured line and a bookmark as a coloured marker. You do not need to set every item separately: all Tracks and bookmarks with the same tag use the same colour.

  1. Open the Track or bookmark.
  2. Tap the circle with three dots at the upper right.
  3. Choose Tags and add or select a tag.
  4. Choose its colour and confirm with the tick.

What is a tag?

A tag is a short group name such as #holiday2026, #anchorage, or #berlin. The # character turns the word into a tag.

A tag works like a labelled folder, but is more flexible. A Track can belong to both #holiday2026 and #berlin, while a bookmark can belong to #anchorage and #restaurant at the same time.

Tags live in the notes. Add them with the Tags button or type them directly with # in the notes. Tap a coloured tag in the notes to change its colour, rename it, or delete it.

Colour Tracks on the map

Colour makes saved journeys understandable before you even open them. You might use blue for proven Tracks, green for relaxed holiday trips, and orange for journeys that need extra attention.

If a Track has several tags, the first tag in its notes supplies the line colour. To show a different colour, simply move the tag you want to the first position.

Colour bookmark markers

Markers also use the colour of their first tag. You can recognise anchorages, restaurants, supplies, and warnings by colour without opening every place.

The same tag has the same colour everywhere. Change the colour of #anchorage and every Track and bookmark carrying that tag is updated together.

Group, filter, and find items with tags

Your collection grows over time. Tags turn many separate items into a clear personal cruising map.

Group a list by tags or filter it for exactly what you need. For your next Berlin trip, show only #berlin; for a berth, choose #berth; for time ashore, choose #restaurant. The map stays focused on what matters now.

You can rename or delete tags across your collection. The Tracks and bookmarks themselves remain in place.
