Rivers & Seas guide

Step aboard from home.

Start the demo cruise on Berlin’s Stadtspree and experience how Rivers & Seas automatically shows bridges, locks, and the waterway ahead. You do not need a boat or a planned route.

A man sits on his sofa at home and looks into a diorama of a boat cruise with a bridge and a lock.
Start at home and experience what Rivers & Seas automatically shows ahead while cruising.

Experience a real cruise before you are on the boat

The demo takes you along Berlin’s Stadtspree. The chart follows the boat while Rivers & Seas automatically shows which bridges and locks matter next.

You can explore the app calmly at home. There is no start, destination, or Track to prepare. The automatic look-ahead works in the same clear way you will use it later on the water.

Start the demo cruise

On the chart, tap the circle with the three dots and choose “Demo cruise”. The cruise starts immediately.

You can also find “Start demo cruise” at the bottom of the profile. If the “Step aboard from home” invitation appears, start it directly with the play button there.

  1. Open Rivers & Seas.
  2. On the chart, tap the circle with the three dots.
  3. Choose “Demo cruise” and watch the chart follow the boat.

What to look for during the cruise

Open the compact Waterway Ahead panel and expand it. Watch distances and arrival times change while the next bridges and locks stay ordered in the direction of travel.

Watch the chart as well: Rivers & Seas recognises the waterway from the movement and automatically aligns the look-ahead with it. That is why everyday cruising does not require a planned route.

Return to your real position

A stop symbol appears beside the chart controls during the demo. Tap it whenever you want to end the cruise. Rivers & Seas then returns to your real position source.

The demo does not change saved Tracks or bookmarks, so you can start it again at any time and explore individual features at your own pace.
